Haryana Government has constituted Haryana State Technical Education Society-HSTES (Formerly known as Haryana State Counseling Society-HSCS) in its department of technical education for implementation of transparent and uniform policies for admission and completes the admission process in a time bound manner.
The society is self sustaining and meets its expenses through counseling fees or examination fees. The society is the nodal agency for carrying out online paperless admissions, statistical analysis of the applicants and admitted students. The society conducts entrance test for admissions to Diploma and Diploma (LEET) courses. It also conducts online entrance tests for admission to MCA and lateral entry to BE/B.Tech courses. The admissions to BE/ B.Tech courses shall be made on the basis of rank obtained in JEE(Main)/JEE(Advanced) test to be conducted by the CBSE from the session 2013-14 and onwards. Also admissions to MBA courses for the session 2013-14 shall be made on the basis of highest score obtained by a candidate in CMAT conducted by AICTE. Online counseling for the above mentioned courses is also conducted by HSTES.
