Haryana Board was established at Chandigarh in 1969. Board started working with a staff of 100 officials allocated from Punjab University, Chandigarh. HBSE conducted its first examination of Matric level in 1970. In 1981, Haryana Board of School Education was shifted to Bhiwani. After then Board started conducting 12th Class examination in 1987. In 1994 Haryana Board established Haryana Open School to increase its reach.The class 12th appearing students should remember their roll number while checking their results as it will be required to check result of HBSE senior secondary.
